Hmm, interesting. I was thinking (maybe incorrectly) that most autocrosses wouldn't allow vehicles with a high CG. Or was that just for on track?

Depends a little on the club but most don't allow high CG car or trucks to run. Its actually probably less bad on a track since at autocross you are constantly going from one side to the other instead of generally steady state corners like on most parts of tracks.
